Designing delightful experiences into digital products
Leading Design Thinking Process
Leading the design thinking process involves guiding teams through a structured, user-centered approach to solving complex problems and innovating effectively. It begins with empathizing with users to deeply understand their needs, followed by clearly defining the problem. ideation encourages creative brainstorming to generate diverse solutions, which are then brought to life through rapid prototyping and iterative testing. A skilled design thinking leader not only fosters collaboration and open-mindedness but also ensures that insights from testing feedback into the process, refining ideas into actionable, impactful designs. This approach drives alignment, accelerates innovation, and keeps users at the heart of every solution.
FEATURED WORK
March of Dimes Microsite Redesign
Identified the problem and came up with a solution by creating a landing page to engage with users.
My role was a UX designer and manager to create a wireframe and a prototype to demonstrate the experience, and a project/product manager to walk through and collaborate with the teams – creative, development, and management. Having a wireframe before we began the UI design helped the teams and stakeholders to understand how the website experience would be like and we can settle with the agreement of the content flow early on, which minimize the number of iterations and save the overall project timeline. Setting up a prototype was successful to demonstrate the experience and expectation, it saved time and budget along with any possible errors between design and development process. Once UI design mockup was done by the creative team, I set up the 2nd prototype with the final design. It was much more optimized project process.
Online Fundraising Platform Website and Mobile App
Updated the entire design and flow of the online fundraising platform and user experience in order to accomplish our goal of enhancing the user experience and management to eventually increase conversion rate and overall traffic.
Upgraded the mobile app to provide better usability and modern look & feel.
Gathered and wrote business & technical requirements, assisted QA analysts to write a test script. Defined the user flow through flowchart using OmniGraffle and Visio. Created the wireframe using OmniGraffle, now transitioned to using Adobe XD and Sketch. The partner UI designer used Zeplin, while I used the InVision app to demonstrate a prototype.
I set up FireBase & Google Analytics to add tracking and analytics reporting.
Omni-Channel Custom Campaign Management System UIUX ReDesign
The proprietary system was outdated and required a complete redesign and redevelopment to address three key areas: performance, usability, and efficiency.
As the UX Lead, my responsibilities included:
- Leading the overall redesign project.
- Overseeing the rebranding process to align with updated design principles.
- Conducting user interviews to gather insights and understand user needs.
- Guiding designers through the UI/UX design process to ensure consistency and quality.
- Creating a comprehensive product requirements document to support development efforts.
- Collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to UX designers throughout the project.
This role allowed me to bridge strategy, design, and technical execution, delivering a modernized system tailored to user needs.
Proprietary Voice Call Log Management System Redesign (Client Admin Tool)
The existing proprietary voice call log management system was developed without a focus on usability or efficiency and struggled to keep pace with rapid growth. A redesign and rebuild on a modern framework were essential to enhance system management and improve productivity through better UX.
As part of the project, my responsibilities included:
- Identifying key pain points by analyzing system performance and gathering user feedback.
- Supporting the creation of detailed technical requirements to guide the development process.
- Leading and mentoring a UI/UX designer to conceptualize and deliver effective design solutions.
- Collaborating closely with engineering managers, the product team, designers, and key stakeholders (users) to align on goals and ensure a user-centered approach.
This collaborative effort resulted in a more scalable, efficient, and user-friendly system tailored to meet both current and future needs.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Data Analytics
I managed Google Analytics, Tag Manager, HotJar, etc., and all of the Web and mobile app analytics. I maintained and oversaw any issues. I planned metrics, organized KPIs, and worked closely with developers to ensure tracking implementation was in place. Now, using Google Data Studio makes it easier to set up visualized data.
PowerBI is also adopted, making it easier to combine different types of analytics and create visualized data reports.
Digital tools – eCard
I initiated to create an eCard to offer to our users – regular users, fundraising participants, health professionals – to raise awareness and enhance user engagement. Managed 3rd party resources to complete the project in timely manner. The tool contributed to drive additional revenue, as a result, it was successful investment by 200% ROI. Now, we offer a customization option for the March for Babies eCard to create one with their own pictures.
Experiment: A/B Test
I set up a test plan roadmap and oversaw implementation of Google Optimize on web properties. As a team, we gathered our goal of A/B testing and set up a roadmap for the test plan. Then, we made a data-driven decision based on the results. One exciting thing that we discovered by the A/B test was that the result came out utterly opposite, with regards to mobile vs. desktop user experience during registration for an event. The test was conducted using Optimizely. We are transitioning to use Google Optimize. It now offers personalization testing as well.
Websites Design & Build
I designed and built various different types of websites based on WordPress, Drupal, and headless CMS platforms.
I believe that every brand has a unique story to tell. My approach involves understanding and translating the client’s vision into a digital experience that resonates with audiences. By combining aesthetics with functionality, I create websites that not only look stunning but also drive engagement and conversions.

Research. Reimagine. Redesign
March for babies redesign
What began with President Franklin D. Roosevelt's personal struggle with polio led to the creation of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, better known as March of Dimes.
About half a million babies are born premature or with birth defects in the U.S. each year. Through its nationwide fundraising event, March for Babies, as well as other initiatives, this nonprofit organization has helped millions of babies survive and thrive, supporting moms throughout their pregnancy.
The challenges
March for Babies is the main fundraising event for the March of Dimes. In an increasingly digital world, many participants expressed frustration trying to use the website.
The logged in participant experience held potential to be a robust, engaging tool. The mobile app had very limited functionality. Visually, the UI design also looked dated.
My Role
As a UX Manager and Project Manager, I created a roadmap, wireframes with user experience, conducted user research, and usability testing. I collaborated with the associated art director (visual designer), engineering manager, and stakeholders to ensure deliverables met quality standards and were completed in a timely manner.
